Adding a Repair Status Event

The Update Status feature provides the ability for Estimating Only users to update repair status dates.You can enter and edit the following dates in the workfile Events tab:

• Vehicle IN
• Repairs Started
• Repair Completed
• Vehicle Out / Promise Date

To update status, click on the workfile Events tab, and then click the Update Status button. Repair Status updates must be completed in the following order:

1. Vehicle In
2. Repairs Started
3. Promise Date
4. Repairs Completed
5. Vehicle Out

When selecting Update Status you have two options:

• Update status only - Allows you to update the status without adding comments.
• Update with comments - Allows you to update the status and include comments. This option opens the New Event window. From there, you can enter comments.

An event is logged in the workfile Events tab > History tab whenever repair status is updated. These events can be edited or voided from the History tab.

If the Vehicle Out / Promised date value is moved out more than one calendar day, the Delay Reason windows opens prompting you to select a delay reason and notes. See Updating the Vehicle Out-Promised Date.

To update repair status date with no comments

1. Open the workfile, and then select the Events tab.
2. Select the appropriate milestone date from the droplist. The calendar screen opens.
3. Select the day and time from the calendar window.
4. Select Update Status, and then select Update status only from the Repair Status section.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.

To update repair status date with comments

1. Open the workfile, and then select the Events tab.
2. Select the appropriate milestone date from the droplist. The calendar screen opens.
3. Select the day from the calendar window.
4. Select Update Status, and then select Update with comments from the Repair Status section. The New Event screen opens.
5. Select the event if it is not already selected from the Event droplist.
6. Enter your comments in the Comments field.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
